we are __ is an architecture studio run by Andrew and Jack - two friends, colleagues and collaborators who believe the best projects come from honest conversation and mutual trust.
We met during our master's and after working in several practices across the UK joined forces at our previous practice. After a difficult period during the pandemic we had the opportunity to do something we'd talked about for years: build a studio around the values we care about - clarity, collaboration, and doing good work with good people.
We work across residential, retail, commercial and conservation projects - but the common thread is always the same: thoughtful, well-executed design that feels right to live, work or trade in.
we keep things simple, avoid jargon, and stay involved from start to finish. We don't hand off projects halfway though - and we don't hide behind a front desk. When you work with we are _, you're integrated into the team.
